Walking In Your Purpose
For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. ~ Jeremiah 29:11
Before you were born, God ordained you for greatness. Before He placed you in your mother's womb, He developed the blueprint that would be your life.
Each of us on this Earth has a purpose. God placed us here to fulfill a specific assignment. Now here's the deal...everyone doesn't have the same assignment, meaning, we all have a different purpose in life, so each of our paths will be unique.
Let me give you an example: Have you ever tried to imitate what someone else was doing because you saw they were successful? And when you tried to duplicate them, you failed miserable, while they continued too soar! The reason that you failed is because that wasn't your assignment. You were trying to walk in a purpose that God assigned to someone else.
Many struggle to "find" their purpose in life. But the answer is right in front of you. There is nothing to find, because our purpose is usually something simple that you do everyday out of habit and you've never looked at it beyond that. You don't see anything great about playing the piano at church on Sunday, or baking cakes for your daughters school.
Your purpose is wrapped up in a skill or talent that you often take for granted because it comes so easily to you.
Next time you are mindlessly engaging in a task that you can do with your eyes closed, stop and ask God, "Is THIS my purpose? And if I took this seriously, could I prosper?"
And it will be in that simple moment, that you'll find clarity and begin to walk boldly in your purpose!
